Harry C. Stonecipher was an American businessman who was the President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Boeing Company from December 1, 2003, to March 6, 2005. Prior to becoming CEO, Stonecipher held various executive positions at Boeing, including President and Chief Operating Officer.
Stonecipher was known for his no-nonsense leadership style and his focus on improving Boeing's business operations. He worked to streamline the company's operations and improve its profitability during his tenure as CEO.
However, Stonecipher's time as CEO was marred by a scandal in 2005 when it was revealed that he had engaged in an extramarital affair with a female Boeing executive. In the wake of the scandal, Stonecipher was forced to resign from his position as CEO.
Despite the controversy surrounding his departure from Boeing, Stonecipher was highly respected in the aerospace industry for his business acumen and leadership skills. He passed away in 2014 at the age of 76.
